Problems installing Precision Injectors

recently I purchased a set of Precision 780cc Injectors brand new off of a member.

they don't seem to fit in the fuel rail especially when I use the the stock rubber gormets on the 780cc . so I took of the stock gormets but when I install the 780cc into the fuel rail they don't hold on tight like the stock fuel injectos and they seem loose

also they seem a little longer then stock

pleases help.

I read somewhere that you plug the fuel injectors half way into the fuel rail while putting the other end into the intake mani. then after you finished one by one you bolt everything back up.

is that true? seems like that may cause fitment problems and do I have to use those stock rubber gormets?

thanks guys

i used the stock gromets for my pte injectors & they fit ok. actually, i use a 0.040" washer between the fuel rail & the manifold, as the injectors seemed to be bound & not float like the oem injectors did.

i suggest that you take a picture of your set-up, identifying your issue a bit better.

ok ill take pics.

but that's a good idea about the spacers ill try that.

I did the same exact thing u did except the bigger spacers ill try that.

did you push the stock gromets all the way in?

Also did your injectors stick in the fuel rail tightly or did it tighten when you bolted the rail down?
