Evo VIII mods..

So here´s my questions.I have 2004 Evo VIII Euro-spec and here in Finland we have 98oct pump gas also 99oct.Im not sure what octane it compares to your pump gas.Mods that im planning to do is:Ebayo2 housing,3"TBE with testpipe,Apexi Power fc D-Jetro,cone airfilter,.272 cams/adj camgears,Walbro 255,APR headstuds, bigger fmic with hard piping kit and boost is set to 25psi.Also been thinking that should i upgrade the turbo to evo ix stock one with 10,5 hotside??What is the benefits to change the turbo or do the euro VIII have a 10,5 hotside. With these mods im hoping to see 370 or more horsepower...What do you think. Also if i upgrade the ix turbo do i have to change the rods or will the stock ones still handeling the power??Thanks and sorry for my english .

kinda a noob myself but i think u will only see like 15 to 20 hp with ix turbo and such. but since u have 98+ octane u should hit that with the boost on 25psi
i think?!

Your 98 octane I believe would be equil to our 91 or maybe 92. The method of calculation is different over there.

1. If you upgrade to a 9 turbo, then just go to a 20G like one Buschur offers. Or maybe an FP Green.
2. The internals will handle a 9 turbo even a modified one. I think the internals are good for a round 400-500 hp depending on the cams and such.
3. No reason to replace the cam gears unless you are going to put the car on the dyno and spend the time to adjust them for the power you want.
4. Do not turn the boost up to 25 unless you have alky/meth injection.
5. Get rid the Apexi FC and just get a tune instead.....

What´s wrong with the Apexi FC??Here it is common to use max boost 1.6/1.7bar the tuner here tunes the rally evos and they said that the 1.7(24.5psi)is good and safe if you have APR headstuds. They tune one evo ix flashing the stock box max boost is 1.7 another mods are 3"TBE,APS air intake and APR head studs and it makes 405hv/504nm torque..Pretty good on 98 oct pump gas
