Single or duel vavle springs

I'm running a stock turbo (might upgrade to a green later) and I'm ordering cams and gears. Would it be better to get single or dual valve springs. What other upgrades do I need with the duals? I'm kinda new to internals so any help would be appreciated.

dual ? or duel ? hope you arent planning on killing anyone .... depending on the cams, i dont think you will need springs at all unless you really want to upgrade.

Dual springs are just a precaution against nasty valve float and if you just so happen to want to rev it out to 9000 RPM you can safely.
Sometimes being able to out rev means the difference between winning and losing.

I am also looking at getting Dual springs for my 35r setup
but i have read that with the supertechs you need to use different Valve guides
is this true for the Ferrea's as well as i need something is is plug and play!

don't want to pull of head to do any machine work what so ever on the head

Anybody with better knowledge care to comment on this

thanks

Ferrea dual valve springs ar good but expensive. stoptech valve springs are great they work extremly well and cost friendly i dont see you really needing them though unless you get the juns cosworths or anything that lifts more then 11 you shouldnt need to replace them. that doesnt mean look for a set of cams that peak lift is 10.99 that means 10.8 and you will be fine

p.s. if you go dual valve springs your going to need the seaters also they hold the secondary spring in place.

GSC S2 going in my car, so they have more than 11mm lift
so you saying is that all you need is the seat locater and you should be okay
no need for head or machining work?

dont mind spending the money just want to make sure we don't run into more problems when we install

I will try find the link which i read a while back regarding problems with the supertech Duals

thanks for the info

well if your going to be intrested in port and polishing and changing the actual valves along with springs and retainters i would send it to a machine shop and have the valve job done yes and to also check the deck on the head befor i put it back on but if your going to use the stock valves and just add springs and retainers then no

Just don't try to go that high with stock internals.
