Is my stock 8 BOV leaking??? Please help!!!

A friend and I installed a Prosport boost guage and a Used Dejon tool boost controller. Everything seemed fine for the install. Once I drove the and gunned it 3rd gear it hit 25psi and climbing. So i turn it down a lot and drove the evo again and it still did the same thing. I notice that the hose that is in between the wastegate actuator and bc did not have an orphas(plastic bleeder). So, I put one in the hose and it still did the same thing. My buddy and I came to a conclusion and thought that the DJ TOOL mbc was no good and decided to take it off and put on the stock solinoid.

I take my car for a test drive and now it's only hitting 10-11psi. The gauge was installed properly(triple checked it) and I now thinking it's the bov leaking.

Here what mods I have on my evo 9:
1. Full 80mm tbe
2. HKS hybrid drop-in filter.

P.S. Please don't ask me why I have a evo 8 bov!

the 8 bov sux, get the original valve that was on your car. Are you sure your boost gauge is accurate. 10-11psi is WG pressure. Maybe you have the vaccum lines hooked up wrong.

the leaky bov wouldnt change the boost like that...you probably have it hooked up wrong...recheck your lines....the boost controller should work fine

It was a bad mbc. I got a brand new DJT MBC and everything is fine.
