Full Race mani and Pruven Tune

so on Friday i got the Full Race manifold installed and the car tuned. when we arived at Pruven at 10:30 am it was about 85 degrees, humid and still climbing. after the install, Kenny and John got the car on the dyno. base dyno was about 385whp. Kenny did some tuning and the best we could muster up on 93 octane was 393whp with 1.6 bar. now looking at the dyno sheet and comparing it to the Feb. dyno sheet of 396whp, its clear to see that the power band was broadened and throughout the curve at some points has up to about 4hp more. we also have to factor into the heat and humidity. when i made 396whp it was 45 degrees out, these runs were made at a blistering 90 degrees and humid. i would say the real difference was in TQ. final tq was 335 and last feb with the megan mani it was 325. in some spots on the curve i gained up to 25 ft-lb’s of TQ.

i asked Kenny about the "correction factor" and he said he never uses it on anything unless its NA.

so basically the car lost 3 whp and gained 10+ tq. but again the temps outside were 40 degrees different.

ps. sorry i dont have the dyno sheets, i forgot to take pics of them. i will do that tonight.

Nice! The area under the curve makes all the difference. Cant wait to see the sheets.

Wow that mani really kicks ***!. I mean with them temp difference that crazy and actually #'s.. I wouldn't be that surprise if you picked up about 10-15 whp on a 45 degree day. (or just comparing them on very similar days)

Plus you weren't comparing a stock untouched Mani to the Full race. A megan has proven it self to make decent power\torque over stock.

This might not be the best bang for your buck, but trying to get the most power out of a stock or stock flanged turbo.. def seems the way to go.

yes. i still think the numbers were skewed because of the heat and how humid it was outside.

Nice results! Worth a heck of a lot more in the colder weather. Where in Albany are you at? I grew up in East Greenbush and am heading North for a wedding in August . ANy Autocross clubs in that area?

Nice, put the car on the dyno on a 70 degree day and not so humid and it will touch 400 for sure.

here is the sheet. we had a diip in power due to a knock. had to be a combo of the gas and the heat.

seeing how the gave me mph instead of rpm, i did a few calculations. give or take im about 336 tq at 4900 rpm. which is 15 foot lbs more than with the megan manifold.
