HTA35r New Dyno #'s w/ Meth @ The Shop

After coming back from The Shop in CT a few weeks ago on pump gas. We decided to turn the Meth kit on and see what the car was worth. Well with 26 psi on pump the car made 510 whp which seemed pretty respectable. But with the Meth kit and 32 psi the car only picked up 20 hp??? Something was wrong, BIG TIME.

It was extremely hot. Starting AIT were around 120, so that wasn’t helping, but something was up. So a decision was made to change the 2.25 inch O2 housing and the 5 bolt .63 back housing to a 3 inch O2 and .82 back housing.

I was worried about loosing the fast spool up, which makes it a Very fun street car. Granted the car Fly’s with 540 whp it went 11.1 (w/ a 1.96 60ft) @ 132 MPH. (104 mph in the 1/8) On this exact dyno at the same correction factor. So the HP Levels were nothing to sneeze at..

So After Jimmy and Kenny @ The Shop Customize the O2 to fit my car. (thx Hurson aka 4kinboost, who HOOKED ME UP with the 02 and Backhousing!!) JuniorAWD aka the magician behind the AEM Jumped in and went to town. Now my first pull at 24 psi the car made over 550 WHP, WOW what a HUGE Gain! And the Trq was up all around as well. Then @ 29/28 psi the car made over 600 WHP. LORD HAVE MERCY!!

Granted the starting air temps were about 120 degrees still The boost was turned to spike at 34 and falling down to 32 the car made 635 WHP and over 540 TRQ!!

This car is READY TO BUGGY.. It is making about 100 WHP more and 45 wtrq more then my 132 MPH Passes and has a Long nice smooth curve now.

I have to shout out to The Shop in BPT,CT Jimmy and Kenny, And Junior and TTR for all there help. And Hurson aka 4kinboost!!

Glad to see your car sorted out!!!

now hit the track and come back with the 10 sec slip!!!!

...and of course congrat to The Shop, Jimmy, Junior and the rest of the amazing team!!!

you should also think a bigger core fmic since you are running such high IATs... I believe Hyperflow is a 3.5 inch core... you could change it to a BR care core ( i recently did) which is a 4 inch core and from numerous tests it has shown that it can really control high IATs with bug turbos and high boost....

Awsome results man!!!!!

Question, the .63a/r you where using, was it a precision turbo exhaust housing?

Also the .82 you are now using, is it a garrett or precision housing?

Just asking for my own ideas in my set up...

Thanks,
Miguel

JuniorAWD, aka 'the magician' was 100% right on his views of your 5-bolt turbine.

I couldn't believe the difference when I saw them together the first time!!!

(ps. That back-half has already gone 9's. )

nice results. that is a huge improvement for such a simple fix. Now you need to get out to the track and get some 10 second slips.
You can see your car was at its optimal power either since you were only gaining 28mph on the big end of the track. You should see a big improvement on the traps now!
