Tranny Grind ?
Is the stock clutch self adjust or can you adjust height of the pedal adjustment so it engages earlier. Every gear is fine except 5th gear. When I shift from 4th to 5th at high rpm i get that awful grinding noise. But if you drive easy no problem. Tranny has been fine it just started yesterday. I have 20k on the clutch so i guessing it about that time. But it does not slip at all so what gives.

I was told it's the clutch getting week. Well more like the pressure plate is just not releasing properly anymore. Due to a failing clutch. This is just the start of it. Looks like i will be going to Mitsubishi for a trans flush. I guess go with putting stock fluid back in because i hear the horror stories of all the after market fluid.
its def. your 5 th gear syncro....with me it only ahppened at high revs like above 3500 on high acceleration....if you baby it into 5th and not shifting hard, it wont grind at all...i took it ot the dealer and they swapped out all the syncros for me...that is def. the issue, nothing to do with the fluid...it was all under warranty..good luck
