aside from buying a used clutch, buying a used turbo may be one of the worst mod related investments you can make.

That depends on who you are buying it from. I've run turbo's for a few hundred miles to see how I liked them, and sold it for dirt cheap to my friends, aquintances, and even people on this board.

bro there is every set up out there possible right now...

you name the turbo, the motor, the gas its been done...just have to search..

i mean thers 35R and 2.3,35R and stock block,37R and stock block, stock turbo and 2.3,3065 and built 2.0..its all been done sometime or another..

every big turbo/ built motor has a pump/race tune more then likely..

Not siding with anyone but Hawaii has a pretty good amount of evos its the big island that lacks evos.

But the evo population is growing....

and props to GT35EVo for his built evo. **** must of cost cash. Imagine something like a fuel pump is only $89 but to ship it to us is like almost $50 for something so small. My turbo kit cost almost $500 to ship here but the guy was nice enough to half with me. So being able to put that **** together in a week

thanks!its not built just yet, soon tho..2.3L..but yes building a evo in hawaii is a lot harder then the mainland..we cant drive 6hrs to go to AMS or shep for problems.
we pay big money just for shipping(like window visors are $80 to ship from machv).we have no shops in hawaii that specialize in evos,or aem tuning.so its very hard.i had to search and search for tuner, finally got one and paid for tune plus his plane ticket.everything was installed and tuned in about a week..sometimes just got to work with what you got.

so not just me but all evos in hawaii should get props...it sucks here.plenty evos and fast cars no track!we just got a awd dyno about 8 mths ago and it cost $140 for 3 pulls.

i agree on the 50 trim. they make a little extra topend but lose a lot of torque. whereas the green is proven to make ~470 whp AND whtq on a DJ

for a street evo torque is much more DD than hp. you cant always string your car out to redline on the street to make use of your horsepower.

torque gets yu going horsepower keeps you going.

just my thoughts on the matter.
