Green related question.

Here's an email I just sent to forced performance. Just wondering if anyone else has ever asked this before and what their experience was.

"Hello. I have a 2005 Evo8 MR and I am heavily considering your upgrade to the evogreen/20g-LT that you and david buschur make.

i've heard you guys can build the green out of both evo8 and evo9 cores. around a 995 charge to convert an 8 core and 845 to upgrade a 9 core. I purchased an evo9 turbo from a friend about 2 months ago and installed it. What my question is, are you guys willing to give a discount for sending in both cores? If so, what kind of final price can I expect for sending in both (good) cores? Both cores have the 10.5 hotside."

yeah. i hear the waiting list is extremely long if you don't have a core available for them to get started on since the cores are on back order. how ever since i have 2 i can hopefully get the ball rolling for me faster and for 1 other lucky contestant.

anyone else had any experience with this question? ill give robert a call around lunch. my phone has 1 bar left of the battery so that's why i sent an email.

I dont think they will give credit for sending in both cores personally.. but worth a try asking I guess.

well i definitely wasn't expecting a full credit but 3-400 or so would be reasonable considering it less for them to purchase and it's also one more thats available since currently, none are. that's my thought process at least. hopefully they'll see it from my perspective.

bummer. they replied.

We only need one of the cores, and it costs $999 either way. m Turn
around is about 2-3 weeks. You may want to add porting or a HP
actuator, but thats all that would increase your cost.

BOOST ON!

just sell one of the Evo 8 turbo that you have on your car after you install the Green. You can probably get around $350 for it because it has the 10.5 hotside.

nah they told me its 999 regardless of which turbo i send in. since i have a 9 turbo in my car, and an 8 turbo out. im just going to send them my 8 turbo, and sell my 9 turbo for more when i get the green.

Dude,

This is funny. I have called them twice and asked the same questions and gotten two diff answers.

I think they just changed the pricing. About two weeks ago they told me 850 with a 9 core and 999 with an 8 core. Today they said 999 either way so I'm sending an 8 core.

Also they just told me today 6-8 weeks IF you send a core, longer if your don't. They said 3 weeks for a brand new one.

I also emailed them a similar question asking what the exhange price for me would be considering I have their White Rabbit turbo (05 16g with the 10.5 hotside and whatever else they do to them) with the HD actuator and never got a respone. Been like 2 months. I hope it's not $999 for me as well.

just told Robert told me 2 weeks. heres the email i sent and his after

thats ok. i appreciate it. well in about 2 weeks im going to be ready to
> send off my evo8 with 10.5 hotside to you. how do you recomend i package
> everything so that nothing gets damaged? should i mark anything or write
> anything on the turbo as well? also do you guys preffer credit cards or
> paypal or how would you rather handle that? thanks
>

Pack it well? Use UPS. Insure it. Include a letter with all your info
and job description. You pay when we ship, so we'll call you to get
billing info. Job takes about 2 weeks.

Thanks
Robert
