Looking for opinions on people who has done a sprayer I?C, either a nos type or co2, or even a custom made one with water, for us who live in the warm weather states

Don't spray at it, spray in it. Go with the meth FTW.

The '03 came with an intercooler sprayer. Changing the external temp of aluminum doesnt help a lot since the pressure charge of the turbo goes through it so fast.

Like 4-BNGR said, if you tap into the UICP to cool the charge going into the combustion chamber, you will make a lot more power.

dont weast the N2O spraying the cooler! spray a small shot straight into the intake teack and you could see upto 2 times the shot sprayed! ie a 50bhp shot could net you as much as 100bhp!

this is thanks to the cooling of the boost the N2O does. this increases the desnitiy of the charger while at the same boost presure. this means more O2 in the cylinders and you get a bigger bang....plus the n2o you put in there!

alternatively go meth. this will reduce IATs and add octane.

water injection is another alternative, but you need to tune for it to get the best. we all know what water does to a fire, and in the same thing here! lol it bascially slows the flame front down. this iscrease the dept. threshold and allows you to run more boost, more timing or a combinations.

alky is often the most popular, but i think a 50/50 mix of water and meth might get you the best results. its what was used in WW2 fighters when they ran overboost! this way you are getting some octane increae, but also pushing the boost threshold further.

anyone KNOW if meht is better than water, or if a mix is any good????

thanks Chris.

actually you would be suprised what an intercooler spay system can do...

the truck racing guys run a system that spray ice cold water onto the intercooler, rad and oil coolers. works a treat for them guys, but you get through a LOT of water! lol

also the WW2 air races use it for their radiators. again a similer system. actually on them the water turns to steam and provides some thrust!!!! lol

thanks Chris.

better to use the $ on Water/Meth Injection than a I/C sprayer. better bang for the buck
