Megan DP intall question.

Am I suppsed to be re-using the stock spring bolts for the new 3" DP? Firstly, someone at mitsu must have forgot the anti-seize so one bolt broke, now i need to drill it out. But once I do, am I supposed to buy another set of spring bolts or use the bigger bolts that came with the DP but dont seem to fit anywhere? Also, can I drive the car with only one bolt connecting the DP to the O2? Its my only car and DD obiviously..

Don't reuse the spring bolts. Yes, you can drive with one bolt, but there will be an exhaust leak. Get it fixed ASAP.

I reused the spring bolts as my exhaust did not come with any aftermarket ones. My dp came with bolts for the cat and for the hanger. However, if you broke it your gonna have to pick up 2 new ones, the same size will do.

those bolts are tricky! it took me an hour before I realized I needed a wrench that gave me a foot of torque to get that off there even with pb blaster.

I wouldn't drive with one bolt unless you have to.

the DP should have came with new bolts for mounting the DP to the O2 housing. I spoke with Megan about this and I was told to use all the bolts that came with the DP. I got the bolts for the O2 to DP, the DP to cat, and the bolts to mount onto the hanger. I also got a couple other ones that I have no idea what they were for since they were pretty small.

BTW, the bolts that come w/ the DP are not spring bolts. They are just standard bolts.

Well, today when I came home from Best Buy, I pulled into my driveway and was letting the car idle ( I dont have a tt) the car just died and now wont restart. I cant see how changing the DP will cause the car to stall and not start again, I tried disconnecting the neg from the batt to reset the ECU and it did nothing. What the hell is going on?
