how can I know if it is the clutch or the synchro?

+1, also have this problem. Its my DD, so am I going to have to leave it with them or can they do this in a day?

my fifth gear is sucky too. However, I have an act clutch so I doubt mitsu will fix it under warranty. I just have to let the rpms fall some before engaging into 5th. That seems to work, or slowly put it in gear.. can't quick shift or it will grind.

5th gear started to grind 2 days ago now every time i shift to 5th gear it feels that i get hurt too

so will mitsu warranty this even i have a rebuilt motor? im still on stock clutch.
If not how much will it cost me to rebuit?

i just installed my zaklee shifter bushings....hope it will help.

i was getting pretty bad 5th gear grind, after shifter bushings it went away.

now its coming back and 4th is worse than 5th now.

to add to it my clutch is going.
