You should be fine if you stick with the octane boosters that don't contain MMT (methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl). The only one that I have run across is 104+.

 

my plugs were also a different color but they were yellow like sulfur. I know mine was the cause of additives

 

the color on your plugs is due to the octane boosters dont worry look at the plugs i had i use a lot of octane boosters the NOS brand check them out:



nothing wrong on using the octane boosters just that you spend more money i use the one that increases 60points or 6full numbers we have crappy gas here in my country thats why i use it.

 

I used the Lucas brand octane booster and it turned my plugs orange. NOS brand did not though.

 

MMT? hmm i did in fact use the NOS brand octane booster That did contain that MMT additive in it. so that must be the reason why! thanks guys! so now we know that causes the plugs to turn that ugly color. problem solved
