Dude, you keep describing the EXACT symptoms of a slipping clutch over and over. Your clutch is slipping. I don't know how you think you know what a slipping clutch feels like yet don't realize that your clutch is slipping. 30k is a ton of miiles on a IX, and that is not too bad for the stock clutch. Mine lasted 7500, but of course I was drag racing the hell out of it.

Take a breath, don't type like you're in a frenzy, and get a new clutch.

All-black evo, I know you have a huge setup with tons of money put into your car, but you seem to lack the basic knowledge of cars and Evos:

1) There is no warranty on the clutch unless it has a malfunction in the first 12k miles. It is a wear item, and even if it goes out in the first 12k miles, it usually is not warrantied, because they find evidence of driver abuse. In extremely rare cases, the clutch actually breaks due to a defect, and then they warranty it, but only in the first 12k

2) Suggesting a Carbonetics twin or Tripple Carbon is just absolutely ludicrous. Come on, man, you can't be that lacking in knowledge to not know a stock Evo has no business spending $3-4k on a Carbon multi-plate clutch. What's up with that???

Beyond1, find another Evo owner in your area who knows the basics and have him test your clutch. He will tell you in 5 seconds whether it's slipping or not. Remember that the best way to test it is in 5th gear. If you start at low rpm and floor it, then the rpms jump up right when boost hits, followed by the rpms dropping and catching a little later, then the clutch is shot. The reason for this is that higher gears have more load, and they produce higher boost. The clutch slips at peak torque, and in 5th gear at full boost/peak torque, you hit the highest load point possible, so it slips. If you keep driving it and making it slip like that, it's going to go out all the way very soon.

I don't think he's stressed over your issue and his post makes a good point. Your not listening to the advise people are giving you, instead your continuing to push that it may be something else. Take Warrtalon's recommedation and have someone (or you) test your car in 5th gear.

Also, what's up with the rude remarks? (*****'s, jerk off, tell your daddy). If your going to post stuff like this in here I suggest you find a more suitable forum. Let's try to be somewhat professional and leave the childish comments out.

In this person's case, your probably right. But, in most cases, launching the car or driving the car hard is what eats up the clutch.

That's a very strange response when I was NOT rude - just honest and direct. I did not "hate" on you, and I CERTAINLY did not stress out. Have you already forgotten the frantic nature of your posts on page 1? You were typing horribly with no semblance of proper English and as if you were high on drugs, yet you tell ME to chill out and not be stressed? You are definitely one of a kind...

I was not rude at all. You are freaking out instead of searching, but we answered you anyway. You were given the answer and refused to believe, so I hammered it home. Now, you are not refuting anymore. Someone needed to knock some sense into you.

As for the grammar stuff, the other guys ALREADY TOLD YOU to chill out and type like a normal human being, but you refused to do that, too. So, in both cases, I wasn't the first to point these things out - I was the last. It just took you that long to listen.

WORD....The problem with internet communication, is the lask of expression and emotion. Warrtalon dose come across, how do I put this, tense. I think he's just curt, and in my line of work, I'm use too this. Don't take it so personal, your on a public forum, not everyone is going to talk to you with a warm and fuzzy tone.

Either walk away or make his knees buckle ..... On the real ,when u get f'ed over alot by people who think they know everything just to make them feel better or just to sell their product .. you would ask for a second opinion ....I dont give a rats *** if has no personality.. He still doesnt have the right .... BUt anyways Warrtalon ur the greatest ....ur the best smartass i ever known .... you deserve a cookie for all the hard work u done ........hahhaa
