Walboro 255 LPH fuel pump burning a lot of gas at idle???

I'm in the process of putting all my mods back on after going back to stock to pass emissions inspection.

I just installed the walboro fp, started the car and see the gas gauge drop real fast. In the beginning the needle was pointing at F and after a few minutes of idling it dropped like 1-1.5mm down from the F line?

What gives? is this normal?

Hmm...I have a Walbro pump in my car and I've never noticed it. I'll try to pay more attention and let you guys know. I'm sure there's a lot of other guys with the Walbro who might have noticed this happening.

Yes and I'm the stock ECU, cams, injectors, MAF.......

but on my fully modded state, with HKS 280 cams, AEM EMS, I normally see 200-220 miles per tankful of combined city/highway driving, and yes I'm dyno tuned for it......

But here I'm concerned as to why the gauge would drop so fast with the Walboro FP

it has nothing to do with the pump. It has to do with the latency of the tank level system. Its rather typical as the gauge does not move 100% accurately with the sending units.

The gauge is designed to move rather slow, that way you don't go around a turn and be full and then flatten out of the turn only to have half a tank.

What your seeing is not related to the pump, but the gauge and sending unit built-in latency.
