Buscher Modified Walbro Pump

What is the Max WHP that the Buscher modified pump can handle?

I am using the AMS GT35r and wondered if this pump would provide enough fuel?

What kind of turbos have been run with the Buscher pump?

I had to do the Buschur Twin Modified for everything including the FR35R! Look at my sig and it will show you almost everything I have in the car.

If you buy it, I would wait until he drops the price. Appearently the guy supplying the modified pumps to Buschur has been lying to Dave and ripping him off. It's just a simple mod they do to it, and shouldn't be worth much more than a stock $100 pump. Here's the thread about the whole fiasco.

I went 156.92 mph in the 1/4 mile at 3300 lbs two weeks ago with two of those pumps

After some posts about this pump on a thread in the Subaru community, Dave sent one to Walbro for inspection. They confirmed that the pressure relief valve had been altered, but that was the only mod. Dave is deciding whether to mod them himself, or just post instructions on how to do so with a disclaimer to cover his liability if someone does it themselves. The pump is otherwise a standard Walbro 255HP version.

Thats exactly what i assumed. The regular walbros flow the same up to about 70psi and then takes a dump. The modified ones outflowed them beyond that. When we flowed the pumps at RC, the tech told us that the bypass valve kicked on at about 70psi, I then went back to and compared both flow charts and what do u know.. I thought about plugging the port and sending it back to flow test but I never got around to doing it.

From what I gathered from the thread at NASIOC, the modified pumps actually start up as the GSS307 model, which is worse than the normal "255" that everyone uses.

this pump I cut is the pump I am not very fond of in the first place, a GSS307.
So that makes it worse, in my opinion. It also explains why the model numbers are ground off... if someone knew the pump was a cheaper Walbro model that had been hit with hammer and sold for $250, they'd be pissed... and rightfully so.

It sucks, because when I first got my Evo, the buzz was all Buschur, Buschur, Buschur... but now I can't really justify doing business with them. I know he's been around forever, and has cars that go insanely fast... but he's got the most expensive parts and maybe when he's got a flawless track record, it's worth paying a premium to have Buschur-made... but if there's any doubt as to the quality of his parts ... the premium is just not worth it to me.

BR parts are far from the most expensive, if anything they are far from it.
