has anybody in here dyno'd a 20glt without cams and fmic?
as the title says has anybody dyno'd a 20glt with stock cams and stock fmic?
i ask cause ive searched and found out that the fmic is goodd up to 450whp.
i had cams but hated idle and a noise they made while warming up the car i went back to stock cams.
right know iam seriously thinking on buying the 20glt with a set of injectors from bushur racing so iam concern about stock cams and stock fmic.

No, there are no dynos because that would be retarded. The stock FMIC sucks and even with the stock turbo you will get benefits.
The 20G-LT is not mean to make super power on pump gas on stock cams and stock FMIC. It is for when youre stock turbo is maxxed out. If you dont like the idle of cams all you have to do is get less aggressive ones and turn the idle up. I have HKS 272s and I can hardly tell I have cams.
If you buy the 20G-LT, a full bolt on cammed stock turbo EVO will smoke you, and they will have spent much less money.

Stock FMIC "is good for" whatever you want it to be. Just try and find all the fastest stock turbo EVOs.. they arent running stock FMICs. It is a great stock FMIC and should not be changed out until all other modifications are, like cams, licp, tbe, etc. Cams on an EVO will give you 20-30whp depending on application. If you gained 13whp (dont know where you got that from), then something is wrong.
There is a reason cams are almost a mandatory mod on the 03-05 EVOs. They are a HUGE power gain and they do not cost much.
Stock turbo EVOs with full bolt-ons on straight pump gas will do 355-360whp. I put down 346awhp with just a TBE, cams, LICP and a tune.
It sounds like you had some sort of bad experience with cams being that you said you hated the idle and only made 13whp. You will not find anyone else on this entire forum to say that. Reality is, they add gobs of power even on the stock turbo and power where we need it, in the top end. Also, they are inexpensive. As for the sound, 99% of people love it. I dont get how you dont like the sound of cams at idle but whatever. If the idle is turned up, you barely notice them.
Maybe you can enlighten us what cams you had, who tuned your car and maybe some dyno/track numbers.

Alright, how about the green on a IX with stock cams, but all other supporting mods including larger FMIC added? Would that be a problem? Also what size of injectors would I need? Are 780's to big?
Putting the green on an IX with stock cams wouldnt be so bad as long as you have all the other bolt ons including FMIC. the IX's have a more aggressive intake cam to start and they have MIVEC. 780s are more than enough.

ok leaving just the stock cams i would need to buy the 20g turbo the fmic and the injectors.
i already have the licp,fuelpump,02housing and tbe with test pipe.
would this be good to do? or still i need those cams in there?

will have to try without cams if it doesnt work ill buy the gsc maybe they dont make that noise during warmp
Thats not the cams, its the lifters. Sometimes lifters go bad after a cam install, mine did actually. I have the Jackson Auto Machine non-tick lifters now.
