P0300 code on IX...anyone else have it?
The P0011 is an overadvanced intake cam timing. Check your mivec map and if the timing is too advanced then you will get that CEL.
this may help or this may not help.......I've had that code for the longest time and didnt know how to get rid of it.......Drove my car 58 miles to another dealership and explained to the mechanic what was going on. If you have this same problem (cruising at 80mph at 3400 to 3800rms, your ses light comes on and it feels you lost power until you let off the gas and apply gas again) go back to your mechanic and tell him to update the ECU, if you havent done this already. There is suppose to be an update that "supposedly" gets rid of the code for good. Mine came back after the update, and it was sourced to the fifth gear "rod" which they say is worn all to hell. seeing that these cars run mostly on computers, the worn part with cause the engine to feel like its "misfiring" when its not, giving the code PO300 "random, multiple cylider misfire" Hope this helps!
Well i dont think its gas or my air filter!! on the way back home from instilling my clutch it came on!! i put in a spec twin disc, and def. in 5th when i let up off the gas you can hear the harmonics of the tranny. Been to the dealer with a psm. reflash number i got off the forum and they didn't no what i was talking about?? they did say that the crankshaft pos. sensor is wuts causing it!! and just so everyone know the check engine light robbs power makes your car run richer in safe mood!! fouled out two o2 sensors already!!
I have a IX MR, Works St. II Clutch, St. I light weight flywheel, Injen intake with pipes, it came on before i put the intake on, now, it comes on everyday. P0300, the dealer recommended that since I have 28K miles, to do a valve adjustment, said that it might be clear up by doing that.
My car also mysteriously would lose power, and completely shut down eariler on in its life, but hasn't done this for at least 8k miles. My dealer thought it might be the MAF, so they replaced that, along with my plug wires, and plugs.
This problem still has yet to be resolved. They are requesting that i reinstall the stock in order for them to go further into finding the problem.
my car currently has 28k miles on it. I bought it in Feb. 06.
It mainly throws this code on cold start ups, when on intital startup idles fine, until i hit the gas. Then once i hit the gas, it misfires terribly bad, but just recently, the SES came on when it showed no signs of trouble, or malfunction.

is there a way to disable this code popping up from ever coming back?
... other than taking out the bulb behind the sel light. lol
im tired of clearing mine....
it happened after i got my 280cams and valvetrain installed...

Guys with Cosi's on your IX's do you get the code at cruise or during idleing/low rpm?
Heres the deal if the code appears during that idling/low rpm check and see if your tuner bumped the timing in that part of you map chances are if they did its a bit to advanced so just back it off some
For the cruise you check your timing maps again, make sure they are smooth. Big jumps in timing between cells could def trigger your P0300.
After that as stated get yourselves the SCANTECH program and drive around untill the code triggers at that point you can get the freeze frame data as to what was going on when the code came on and back off timing and/or mivec in those cells as needed
