Yeah, JR's RS was ordered from the factory with stereo, A/C, and electric windows. It came equipped with an aluminum roof as well. Of course JR himself weighs in at about 90 Kilos after the traditional breakfast pastries.

I would put that JDM RS on a strict water/methanol diet, make some good use with all those extra unique features

Correct me if I am wrong but that makes it a GT not an RS.

Maybe this is true of the USDM LanEvo model line, where you pretty much have to take 'em as they´re delivered in one of four basic flavors. However, JR´s 2005 Evo RS and my 2004 RS had to be prepaid/special ordered from the factory. We live outside the U.S. and the only Mitsu dealer doesn´t stock any Evo´s.

After placing your order, there is a three month wait your Evo is assembled according to the options that you checked on your build sheet. Kinda like ordering a new American car from the factory in Detroit.

JR´s RS has a roof mounted antenna whereas mine has a pillar mounted telescoping antenna. Mine has tacky standard Lancer front seats whereas his has Recaros. His RS has the Factory 3 gauge instrument panel below the A/C controls. My RS was ordered in Apex Silver. Both of ours came with the rear wing, A/C, and electric windows, because that's how they were ordered.

Here in Central America, you can order an RS and have it built by the factory with most of the SE or MR doodads and have it still be an RS. Whatever tickles your fancy. Or you can order a stripper MR or GSR with a wing or vortex generator delete.
