what system is better?

So i have a $550 budget. i want to get a catback for my evo. i looked at AMS $624 and BR $450. so what is the major difference with the two? I know the TB is the best option. But I can build up to that.

BR is very light and makes good power, fits a bit off but I've heard people think it's fine. Go with BR.

IMHO, don't waste your time with just a catback. When SBR dynotested basic mods for the Evo, the aftermarket catback only gained 3whp/3wtq over the stocker. It was upon upgrading to a test pipe ( +9whp/9wtq) and a downpipe (+9whp/wtq) that a noticeable difference would be made.

Please don't fall prey to the classic "my 3" piece of piping is better than yours"... As long as there are no obvious restrictions or sharp bends in the flow of the exhaust or muffler, you'll make good power.

All that to say: take your $550 and get a full Megan Racing TBE for the same price as buying a catback from other companies. Add a tune to that TBE, filter, mbc you've got and you're golden...

Good Luck!
