Question fuel psi

Was woundering if anyone knew what psi to set your presseure regulater too with 780cc injectors?(ams pressure regulater with gauge not the stock one by the way) i have it set at 42psi cause thats what the manuel said but i dono if thats just for the stock injectors. one more thing, this is gonna sound stupid but the car at high rpms and boost like around 4 half 5 grand starts to feel like its not getting enough fuel or prob too much. (looses some power) thats prob because im not tunned yet for these injectors im guessing?

42lbs is fine. Stock turbo? What fuel pump? Wideband O2 in the car?

A. Idle PSI is about 42psi with vacuum pinched. about 60-70psi under full boost (30psi boost for me)

B. Could be getting too much or too little fuel under boost. Do you have a wideband? Stock ECU could be pulling timing if it is seeing knock.

You are misinformed my friend. If you are refering to not lasting long with C16, then thats a different story because not many O2 sensors last when using leaded gas. Having a wideband O2 is almost imperative when driving a modified turbo car, if not just a safety precaution.

I believe it all depends on the gauge type. My Autometer electric gauge sometimes reads at 20psi or sometimes 0 when the ignition is off. If the ignition is in the on position then it jumps to 20-40psi. I don't know what my new AEM one will be like.

after a while the fuel pressure will drop to 0, that is normal. it will flow back through the pump, also out the regulator, and sometimes out the injectors very slowly.

Shaun, I told you that you were wrong about widebands not lasting long!

Your ECU assumes that you're using stock injectors and stock fuel pressure. Your fuel pressure should be set at stock initially, and your ECU should be flashed or a standalone mapped to compensate for the increase in fuel caused by the difference between the fuel injected by a signal to your stock injectors and the amount of fuel for the same signal sent to the 780s that you've installed.

I have had widebands last a year to two years with little to no leaded gas
