I want to say that Dave Buschur said that he saw full boost (~36 psi or so?) at well past 5k on a 35R.

So explain to all of us on this board how you managed to spool a 37R sooner than that!

I BELIEVE AMS has quoted 300 RPMS slower.

True but not everyone can super tune like AMS, nor does everyone have the capabilities of having AMS tune there car! The average good tuner is still seeing 600-1000rpm laggier.

Do you have a dyno graph, My butt dyno told me I had full boost at 3800rpm on high compression 2.4l with the PT 67mm and .68a/r T4 housing. The aem log said it was at 5100, some people get confused with quick spool andfull boost. It will yank real hard before it gets to full boost, and for this reason and this reason only do I ask for proof.

Yeah...all that is bull****. Not spooling a 37R by 4,500rpm. Show a datalog or dyno chart with logged boost and RPM. By "full boost" we are not talking about 10psi either.

It all depends on the 35r and 37r you are comparing, manifold design, cams, and tuning... My boys 37r (Buschur everything) actually spools up only a couple of hundred rpms after my 35r.

35rs have worked great on loads of 600+BHP track cars over here. great spool and no lag at all.

i have heard good things about the 37 but i would probably go for the 35 first and see what you think. if you want more power then you can upgrade.

by the way, has anyone fitted a 40R cold side the the 35R hotside????

thanks CHris.

Well i have a Shearer gt35r and ive heard nothing but great things about them. Hell BR also uses his manifolds so it should be alright. I just dont want to buy another turbo unless its worth the money.

I really dont care what some of you think, I was trying to be helpful and some of you just wanna be asses. Yes I DO hit full boost at 4500-4700rpms, I do run a Blowthrough setup which made a 300-500rpm faster spool when I installed it.

no one will believe you since you post no dyno sheet and all of the big shops quote about a 5K spool on the 35r and about 500rpm higher for the 37r, plus you quote 509whp which is completly easy with a 35r

Now for my input i just bought a 35r kit cause i will never push the limits of the 35r at 600whp, 500 to 550whp on a dynapac will make me happy. The 37r is old technology wheels mated to the new design bb center, which is the reason for the slower spool, and way less power before complete spool say at 4K rpms. yes the 37r will beat it out on the top end by roughly 50whp. Also most people that are going 37r are going with a 2.0 or 2.1 build becuase in the quarter they are running out of revs in fourth gear. Dan B is a great example if you about his car.
