Buschur exhaust probs

Washing my car the other day I noticed that the muffler pipe was off center. I looked under to car and sure enough the metal hanger that is welded into the exhaust broke off. No biggy I though, just get it welded again, and I also notice that it didn't just come unwelded, the damn thing broke a square peice of the exhaust and now it's leaking and making that odd sound an exhaust does when it's holed. Oh well. It never fails.

So now I got a coat hanger holder the damn thing up until I have enough time to fix it. You think Buschur will fix it for free?

I would think that as long as you did not run over anything that they would help you out.. Call them up and ask.

my friend has their full exaust on his evo
his 1/4 time were always at least .5 sec worse then mine.
we ran at the same time
we have same mods, except he has the full 3"exhaust.
How do you explain that?

It's the driver.

Also, the 3" turbo back system from Buschur is a 3" mandrel bent stanless steele pipe. All manucaturers use the same damn thing, some even restrict it more with resonators. This is straight throughw/ testpipe, so it is evident that it is much better than the stock exhaust.

I dunno bro. Alot of the people running the low 12's, including Al with his 11.80 are running a 2.5 beginning downpipe piece. Food for thought, thats all.

Try calling Buschur Racing and calling. As for them knowing about the forum...did you not notice their banner ad? David Buschur is a registered member of the forums and has posted around a few times.

You mean to tell me that upgrading to a 3" turboback isn't such a good idea?

No, it is a very good idea. There are mixed feelings about using a 3" downpipe VS a 2.5 into a 3" downpipe. Some DP's start out 2.5 and open to 3"... just making a generalized statement.

Ah, gotcha. It looks like in order to reduce weight they used thin pipe, could be the contributing factor for the hanger breaking off so easily. Thin walls.

i dont wanna express my thoughts about bushur, but imo spending 1000 bucks and not seeing any gains is kinda stupid

He launches just like me at 5-6 rpm, he car has less miles then me. Always looses.....

2.5" vs 3" downpipe

Running a straight 3" is the way to go. This also depends on the amount of boost you're going to run as well. I lost hp when I changed the 3" DP on my Integra to a 2.5" DP. I did this as I live in Florida and couldn't keep driving my car w/out A/C - too damn hot. (Running a 3" DP on my Integra necessitates you removing the AC.)

No gains? Where did you hear this from?

So Buschur 3" turboback, air filter and testpipe don't amount to any gains? How about with a boost controller and S-AFC? I'll gaurantee ya some gains there.

954DRGSR, trade cars with him and see what happens. Also, not every car will run the same, some are just naturally stronger from the factory. You can't compare two different cars with similiar setups, it just don't work. Have him dyno before and after the exhaust swap, under similiar air temps/conditions, thats the only way you can judge improvement.

I know my exhaust increased off the line wheel spin capability, and it sure sounds a hell of a lot better.

stvbreal, call Buschur, likely they will make good on the exhaust, as it sounds like a freak flaw.
