Question which ecu

I ordered my greddy turbo kit, and im looking a decent ecu/piggy back. I looked into greddy emanage, but was told emanage will not be enought. I know motec makes them but they are ridiculously expensive, start at $1500
what else is there around 1000 bucks?
thanks
Mike

haltech makes a full computer replacement and so does AEM. I am not sure which is good but I know hobie has the AEM (search for his threads you will learn more there).

i dont think ur gonna find anything for $1000. especially $1000 tuned and installed and wired. there are many more options besides motec, haltech, and aem. you should go with a system that has a reputation in ur area and with a system that people are familar with and can tune in your area.

Well if you are looking to modify your car and want to get the most out of it then Motec is the way to go... If not then get either Haltech or Link ...

I got link on my EVO 7 I felt a lot of power gain and the car is standered.. All of them come with an Anti-Lug system.. But I think Haltach and Motec comes with a swich with link system you have to turn off the car and put your foot down and then start the car to start the anti-lag system.. ..

My advice is to try to get Motec..

Skip the LINK if you want user friendly.

Have you tuned standalone before, or are you going to pay someone to install and tune for you?

I got someone to map it and install it for my car..
But I am having problems lately with car dieing all of the sudden.. I am going to have the ECU checked. I did all the standered checkups but my mechanic insists it's the ECU.
well we see..
If it's have no experiance in mapping then let the pros do it for you... It's better and safer..

Again though, are you planning on tuning/installing this yourself, and do you have standalone/engine mgmt experience.
