I got to hear the Vishnu turbo-back system yesterday at WOT up to redline. Very very nice. Excellent sound, sporty but refined.

Again, a bit pricey for me, but if you see one in person there is no doubt where the extra expense is. The best way to describe it is; refined. Each piece looks like the kind of stuff that is often put together just for a show, but these were production pieces as they were shipped to the shop. If you want quality, I would say Visnu hands down.

I definately want an exhaust system that uses flanges to connect all of the components together, not band clamps. I also want quiet as possible while still getting the performance of a 3" system...

Has anyone heard both the vishnu and UR exhausts with high flow cats or stock cats? how do they compare? UR says their exhaust is designed for reduced noise, how true is this statement?

- DP $300
- high flow cat $150

RMR
- cat back $599

Vivid
- JIC SS catback $699
- Ralliart catback $899

Ultimate racing
- cat back $525
- DP $325
- high flow cat $150

I keep hearing people say "you get what you pay for". So what makes some of these exhausts worth the extra dollars? correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the exhaust just a 3" pipe with a muffler?

Here's a quote from someone else on this forum:
There is "you get what you pay for" ... and then there is "you paid more for what you got."
V.R.S. (Miami FL) 305-971-0357
- cat back $480
SS 3" mandrel bent, (2) piece; resonator in midpipe, Maganaflow SS can, SS angle cut tip. Sounds great, seems to make more power, especially noticeable at higher rpm.
If you order one, tell them that Manuel from Atlanta recomended them...

FWIW, a proper V-band clamp is heads and shoulders above a standard bolt-together flange in terms of seal (they simply do not leak), installation (they can be installed and removes with no tools other than your finger and thumb) and fitment, they offer swivel adjustment once installed. The only downside is price as they are more expensive than flanges. This is why you typipcally only see them used in race applications where cost is not an issue. But we like using them for all the reasons mentioned above.

I second that, the guy that did the exhaust on my turbo 7 builds race cars for folks (7's only) and that was the first sytem I had ever seen that used the Vband clamps. They are the ****. Only problem is if you need to mix and match parts.

I have the Vishnu Catback, and it sounds and looks great. Although a little bit more expensive, it was well worth it IMHO.

RMR is probably the quietest one with two resonators and the muffler and it uses all flanges.
Of course it's been a month and I am still waiting to get one.
But then again I ordered an in-stock downpipe from them and it took 3 weeks to get. They"didn't know" they were out of the lower brace at the time and never let me know. I had to call them and ask where my **** was. I am afraid the cat-back call will never come and I'll have to call them, even though my name is on the list.

Yeah but I am guessing you don't have any in stock, right?
If you had one, I'd buy it.
