ACT prolite flywheel or ACT streetlite flywheel
I can't give an absolute answer to that question. I'd say it depends on the mass and gearing of the car with respect to the difference in flywheel mass, and of course, the strength of the engine.
can you tell me what to do to check to see if it's them? maybe i don't need a clutch.. anyhow let me know. or maybe some of my friends know. ill give them a call after work. its good to know mechanics.
In general, you will want to go as light as possible with the flywheel. Lighter flywheels let your engine accelerate faster (you will put more WHP down on a dyno with a lighter flywheel) and you will de-accelerate faster when you take your foot off the accelerator. This makes lighter flywheels very favorable in road racing conditions.
If you like drag racing, a lighter flywheel will create problems with your launch. Its up to you to decide.
