The intake did not submerged, thats why I dont understand.
Other thing, when I opened the hood after the car shut down by itself, it was blowing smoke out of the air filter (intake)

I dont understand still how the hell hydrolock could happen

IC, LICP, UICP, Turbo...there's a lot of plumbing down there. I don't even like driving mine in the rain.

got any pictures of the carnage? Sounds maybe like hydro locking, but if your intake isn't low, there's a lot of plumbing to fill up to get a significant amount of water into the intake manifold itself, let alone any particular cylinder. Seems like with that amount of water in the engine it would have stalled or attempted to stall. You will more than likely have bent rods if it hydro locked as well, any chance you've gotten the bottom end apart?

The 4k netural rev usually indicates some sort of post throttle body vacuum leak or a stuck throttle. (or a stuck icv, and/or confused ecu, but those would be fairly rare i would think).

the broken valves and beat up piston tops are more than likely the result of the timing belt slipping.

Sounds like you had a pretty lousy day.

Hey Randy, was the timing belt cover installed in the car? I don't think you sucked in enough water to cause hydro-lock, but if the timing belt cover was not on, maybe the timing belt got really wet, causing it to slip and jump timing, which can easily destroy our engines since they are interference engines.

Another theory I was considering, maybe you could have dropped a valve, and as a result of the piston-valve collision this made the seal between the head gasket and the block fail, resulting in the chocolate like substance you found in the crank case. Once again this is only a theory, but it could serve to spark someone’s imagination to come up with a more plausible root cause.

dont worry about boring the block 1mm. the evo block bores are thick.

i dont understand how the pistons smacked the head, how high do you spin your engine? what rods were in your motor? there is so much piston to head clearance from the factory, i just dont see how that could happen.

take pics of the piston tops & the cylinder head please & post them.

if your missing 3 valve heads, i can understand why!
