Forge Unos set in 3rd gear.

Hallman Pro as the next best option.

Dislike the Hallman Pro RX warr or just seeing it as a waste of extra money because the Hallman pro is more than sufficient in itself?

I don't really care that much. I just know the Hallman Pro is only $85 and works like a charm. I used it to run 12.0s and keep it as backup to my Forge in case something ever happens and for troubleshooting other Evos in the area.

I don't see any need for anything beyond the Pro from my experience, and if I had to use something beyond the Pro, then I would just get the Forge anyway, since it's also $85 and has something that no Hallmans have: a ratcheting knob.

I ditched the Forge in favor of ECU controlled boost. Forge worked great for a year, then kept sticking. Grease up the ball, good for a day then stuck again. Not too mention it was so picky with the temperature change. Soft spring be too soft in warm weather, hard spring be too hard in cold weather. Messing with it got really old. If I ever go back to a mbc, it will be a Hallman.

Oh yes. The "woderful" knob. That stupid knob got completely stuck on me while my Forge was overboosting. So , no adjusting boost until I took a hammer to it. Get a Forge mbc if you want to stare at your boost gauge for spikes, take apart and clean the unit regulary, and have a possible stuck knob. Get the Hallman if you just want to set it and forget it.

I ended up ordering the Hallman pro rx in red from ultimate CC here on the forum. So I should be getting in sometime next week. I've been reading some of the how tos for install and it kinda sound like a pain in the a$$... Also see a lot of people doing the install wrong and not boosting properly cuz something wasnt hooked up right and havin to do a bunch of injvesting to figure out what they did wrong and bla bla bla... Is it that bad? How long should I be setting aside to do the job?

Very abnormal, and I've never heard of a knob getting stuck. My 2 years of using it for all forms of racing have been very rewarding. I haven't taken it apart or even touched it other than to change boost occasionally since I first put in the stiff spring.

Looks like Buschur Racing is coming out with a new MBC...read in first post. Will like to see how it holds up when the buschur crowd starts running them.
