My hallman pro rx should be shipping out to me today from ultimate-cc. Planning on setting it at around 22psi so 1.4-1.5 bar. How much will the weather (temps) up here in NY affect my boost? ie day to night, summer to winter?

Other than the ceramic ball why get the Hallman Pro Rx when you just have to put in the heavier spring?

I'd say just go with the Hallman Pro.

I have a Hallman Pro RX in my EVO + I have a brand new Pro RX (Blue color and in the original box) for sale. This has the cockpit adjustment option on it too.

Let me know if you are interested - I would like to sell it to someone who can put it to good use.

My perrin started sticking and then exploded due to overboost. I can't say that it was a junk MBC though because it was on when I got the car and I dont know if it had ever been cleaned or how long it was on there. Right now I'm waiting on a Hallman to come to replace it.

FORGE FTW.

Has a ratching knob and holds boost better IMO.

any ball and spring mbc is good.. forge makes good parts as well, but hallman is one of the very top popular mbc's available.

I never said that the hallman was bad. IMHO its the 2nd best MBC.

I just prefer the FORGE as it has the "clicks" (ratcheting knob) and in my testing holds boost better.

Also, I dont feel that all spring and ball MBCs are the same. Home made ones and one that are like it, usually spike more and hold less boost at redline.

Cool. Glad to here about great customer service from Hallman.

I also have had great customer service with FORGE. Same deal, needed lil parts (allen screws & stiff spring), they shipped it ASAP, for free.

IMHO, you can go wrong with a Hallman or a FORGE. All other MBCs are non-existent to me.
