I would say not.

I just want my daily driver Evo to be able to trap 120mph on pump 93 with a stock/stock-like turbo - i.e. retaining some decent spool and torque.

I have yet to see anyone do this yet - Soon2B, I can't believe you didn't even get your Green setup dyno'ed on pump...

Yeah I know, I would have liked to but Ive been on a tight schedule, my dyno was running behind as it was and the fact that I was never going to run pump just made it worthless to me. Not to mention, Id have to pay for extra tune that I wasnt going to use.

In my opinion, using pump gas is just worthless, especially with these smaller turbos. Methanol is the absolute best thing to do. The increase in power is just insane.

i don't know how you guys use these cars as daily drivers. I've had to use mine for a week now that my daily had a hiccup and it's frustrating as hell.

I like how you make a blanket statement for all Evo owners regarding the Green not being worth it...besides your math is wrong if you are smart with your money. If you do the exchange, it only costs you about $1350 for the EvoGreen...and that doesn't include selling whatever turbo is on your car before you install the Green. I paid $500 for a 9 turbo + $849 for the upgrade.

On the Heartbreaker™ Mustang Dynos around San Fran, Greens are putting down 20-30whp more on 91 octane than other Evo 9 turbos. Sure, there are some exceptions, but most stock turbos max around 300whp. The Greens are putting down between 320-330whp

Besides, comparing the EvoGreen to a GT40 is one of the silliest comparisons I have seen on this site in a LONG time.

Well dont be. Ive been doing it since April and many others have been for over a year. Its the best thing since sliced bread. I will never not run methanol in any turbo car ever again, unless it was a big block twin turbo and I could make 800whp on 87 octane.

Now, you have to buy new for $1700. Is this correct?

Soon2B, I'm always scared that I'll drive somewhere far and run out of meth en route, without access to any. I guess I would just need to stay out of boost at that point...

They did? If they did, I had no idea.
