Cat Flange leaks water but no air.

I noticed recently that flange on the cat toward the muffler leaks a couple drops of water sometimes. However when I put my hand around the flange there is no air leaking at all. I had an exhaust leak on one of the flanges before and know you can definately feel puffs of air if it starts leaking. Is this normal? Has anyone had the same experience?

I rarely use my ac and was definately not using the AC when I was checking for leaks.

have you tried feeling for the leaks while someone pushed the throttle? i would think that if water is coming from the flange so will exhuast gases.

Ive got the same prob. Wasn't leaking before but just started. The gasket is brand new. Stock cat to 3 inch exhaust.

Should I put another gasket or gasket sealer?

I never did figure out the problem and have since sold my old evo. Nothing bad happened though, I had that evo for 3 more years after I made that post.

Take it apart again and use muffler paste from an auto parts store. It seals any imperfections in gasket and sealing areas of the exhaust.

What you are seeing is condensation in the exhaust dripping out.

Any particular one

and why would it not leak for a week and then start? I thought the heat would make it seal better over time
