Egr?

Does the evo 8 has an EGR?*

If so where is it, and has anyone tried to remove/block it?

Could something like this work?

*The EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) is a walve that recirculates burned gasses back into the engine to limit pollution. Bottom line it hurts performance.

I think so since the ECU has an EGR pin. Will blocking it off turn you CEL on? If it is, do you know any other way to block it so it wont turn it on?

different application but the same thought discipline. Only read the first few paragraphs that give explanation.

It will throw a CEL after a while with it disconnected. I tried... I think the reasoning was that the evo has a pressure sensor in the manifold which is new to the model? It is suppose to be able to sense the pressure difference when the egr was suppose to be activated?
