VIII vs. IX compressor housings. both hotsides are 10.5's, one is a single flapper other is a dual flapper.

Please stop saying false statements. There are no 2004 MRs. There are no 2004 model EVOs with 10.5 turbine housings.

For the last time.

2003 and 2004 turbos have 9.8 Turbine housing
2005 turbos have the 10.5 Turbine Housing
2006 turbos have the 10.5 Turbine Housing & a BIGGER COMPRESSOR HOUSING (which can be see in the photo above)

Original post I made in this spot said that the IX turbo had 5 blades. This is INCORRECT! it has 6!

I don't think so.
I believe they are both 6/12 blade wheels. That picture above seems to be of a single flapper "20G" type turbo with the billet 5-blade Forced Performance wheel.

What are you talking about, I always thought that the IX turbos were 5-blades, that's why the 20g went to the 20g-9-5 and then the 20g-9-5-LT. Anyone else want to back me up on this or at least put me in my place?

Wow, I'm sorry! I honestly thought the 9 had 5 blades. I'll go edit my post so that that idea dies...I'll go off to my corner and sulk...

Youre thinking of 20Gs...

All 2003,4,5,6 EVO turbos use the same compressor/turbine wheels, just the housings changed as I listed before.

No, the 5 and 6 blades are on the compressor wheel. The turbine wheel has significantly more than 5 or 6 blades.
