Turbo timer, countdown??

What times do you set your countdown on the turbotimers? Mine is set to 40 seconds on normal driving, and a minute if i drive it fairly hard. Any suggestions on what to set the times at?

Does your turbo timer have a setting to automatically calculate the needed cool down depending on your driving instead of having a pre-set time?

I just installed mine and was wondering the same thing. I let it go for a minute and I didn't boost at all. Theres really no harm I guess in letting it cool down for more than it needs.

It has that setting, but I have a 20 mile commute to work, and by the time i get to work, it wants to cool down/idle at 10 minutes! it calculates the time from the alternator feed.

I have the HKS Type 0 which runs off the cars voltage output. It maxes out at 5 min.I guess like it says above any cool down is not gonna be bad for your engine. If I drivce about 20 miles on the freeway, I usually see about a 2-4 minute cooldown depending on how I am driving.Your settings should be fine though.

Mine hooks up to the front o2 sensor it times pretty reasonably. Also my plx w/b has an output signal simulating a front o2 so I just hooked it up to that. Either way I turbo time 1 min+ when the car has been boosted 20-30 secs. Non water cooled turbo though.
