well i just got back...

When i went inside, and asked what have they decided to do.
They guy was very cool and said it was easiest and cost effective if we got a new short block from mistu. And he said they should have the block by the end of this week. and i should have my car back by the beginning of next week.

They gave me a 2002 Civic coupe to drive until then.

And he also said that they are going to have the head checked out as well.
To make sure there is nothing wrong with that.

They also have to do some other things that i requested, like changing the rotors since they are worped.

So i should have my car back some time next week.

New Short Block from mistu
New reman Tranny from mistu

Car is going to be almost new.
I think i might have the car looked over by either mistu or a local shop (CBRD Speed Fatory) http://www.cbrdspeedfactory.com

Yea, instead of giving me a new transmission when my 3rd -4th synchros started grinding they wanted to repair it and they was going to make me pay for the repair. Mitsu warranty service is awful they are ridiculous. Had my car for 1 1/2 months.
(Not to mention when they called me and told me that they were repairing the tranny they said, "We have never worked on a Evo before." Then I thought in my head this car is going to be FUBAR'd in a few months.

Thats a damn good dealership there. They treat you better than Mitsu would and you bought the car used! Glad things worked out for you and clean 240 BTW! Im the same as you. I came from a S14 w/ SR20 to an Evo.

i really hope i don't run into problems in the future with the car.

Id really like for it to be a reliable car, since i will be driving it often.
like to work and back.

I got the evo for an all around good car, its good for DD, in the snow and it also looks nice.

I just hope mechanically its a good car, at least when taken care of.

Demand an AMS Short Block May as well go 2.3 while you can :0 I bet it might be cheaper then a OEM Block from Mitsu and you already have the block to send back to AMS.

Do that!

AMS short block is only 150.00 bucks more then the OEM one.

but honestly i dont know if they will be down with that, since it would take longer to get it, and maybe some other reasons.

i just want the car back and runing good.

That sucks, I had a problem with my used evo also. What mods were on it?

I would give Jackson Auto Machine a call for a stroker.

CBRD is great...they are doing my install of the JAM motor now.

You are very close to York...go check it out.

Yea Chad called me back today, and was talking to me about JAM
he was actually there today picking up something.... maybe your motor. (2.3)

I plan on bring the car to CBRD next week once they return my car.
Just to have them maybe over look the car and make sure every thing is ok.

When i got the car... it had the Greddy TypeS BOV (Recirculated) and a cheapo intake. But who knows if the original owner took any thing else off. (i believe it had a MBC)

I plan on getting a full turbo back exhaust, lower IC piping and a better intake, install a hallman MBC I have laying around and then get Chad to Flash my ECU.

I'd pitch in the extra $150.00 and wait for the AMS shortblock.

That is cool, at least the dealer is going to fix it.

I think Carmela told me Chad was picking up the 2.3 today.
