BOV sound

I just installed a forge recirculating bov and it sounds a lot different than my stock bov. I have a bushur intake so I could hear the stock one fine, it made a loud woosh noise. But when I installed my forge one it makes three quick woosh noises instead of one long woosh like the stock one. It sounds like it is stuttering almost. I tried installing it both ways and it did it both times. The car still drives fine though. Does anyone know what might be wrong, or is this the normal sound?

It may be compressor surge...in which case that's a bad thing.

The fluttering is normal (from my experience) if you don't have a lot of pressure built up (partially open throttle or similar conditions), but from WOT it should vent SOLIDLY and in one quick, sneeze.

I dont have one, but I've read elsewhere here that the stuttering noise means the spring is set too tight, loosen the screw.. you're gonna have to fiddle with it till you get it just right.

Okay since no one read his post:
It is a Forge DV. There is no adjustment screw. Spring is preset at the factory. The noise is not normal! Talk to Forge, they probably need to replace it. It should be like stock, one steady woosh.
How do I know? I have one.
There is something wrong with valve or the vacuum hose going to it. It sounds like compressor surge, which as stated is NOT good. Do you have a boost gauge?

Edit: The HKS does this and it's normal, because that is the way it is designed (poorly ) The other valves out there should not stutter like that.
