Exedy Twin Rebuild Kit?!?!

Been waiting on "floater plates" to come in for some time. Does ANYONE have a these or a complete rebuild kit?!? I hate the fact I bought this clutch because I can rebuild it.. yet I can't get a rebuild kit. I just can't afford another 2g's right now.

The rebuild kits? I can find an entire clutch no problem. 800 (rebuild) sounds better than 2000.

the floater plate is very thick and difficult to warp. The pressure plate is much easier to warp. In 9/10 cases, disc replacements is all they need.

There is one for sale in the for-sale section for $900 shipped. You could pick it up and then once you get in your pieces, rebuild this clutch & sell it for your $ back.

Side track abit guys... ...

I am running the Exedy Twin on my car as well. Have heard that the Twins can be changed/converted to Triple plates.

Any advice & confirmation on that?? And what are the parts & costs we are looking at?

Thanx!
Victor

A rebuild kit? I'll have to look now.

I talked to my guy (dan@buschur thanks nick lol) and he said the floater plates normally will get glazed and that they highly recommend replacing them.

Usually there is nothing wrong with the floater plate. Its the pressure plate that gets warped.

If there was no metal on metal contact the disc replacement alone should do.

I just did contact them... regardless of what I need to is kinda sad that I can't just buy a complete rebuild kit... this was one of the highlights of the clutch when I paid 1500 something for it. I could rebuild it for half the cost or less!
