I just had an HKS max twin plate clutch. It feels like it is slipping and you can't launch it at all if you do you smell clutch bad. You have to let the cluch almost all the way out and before it graps solid. I have drove other standards so I know how they should feel and I don't think this is it. I had the dealer put it in so I asked them about it and they told me that it could need adjusting but they didn't know how go figures. Is this how the the clutch is suppose to feel it is I will just put a stock one back in it.

 

did you break in the clutch properly?

 

I just had it done. What is the best way to break it in? All I have done was drive it home and park because of how it felt.

I had the hks pro twin plate clutch on my jdm evo 6, and by no means did u have to let all the clutch go before it grabs, this clutch was very easy to slip and by far the best street clutch, i also change the push rod and clutch line when i installed the clutch. Only badd thing is the price.
