drivetrain help

check it out guys, i got a clutch job for an 05 evo..5peed....any who...i was told that the tranny was sent out 2 get re-built because it wouln't go in to gear at all...when i got the job he had just got the tranny back and a new clutch...so i put everything back 2gether and now when i try 2 put it in gear its so hard to..every gear is hard 2 put in..and if i try 2 put it in reverse it sounds like sometghing is hittin...and then ive never drove an evo b4 so idont know how the clutch should feel but if feels real low..so if any of u guys have any tips or anything that would be awsome..thanx 4 taking ur time 2 help out!

so its shifting now...but its not as tight as it was b4...but now when i start driving it starts hopping so bad...

If the engagement point feels low then that is probably the reason for the shifting trouble and probably the premature transmission problems. Adjust the rod at the master cylinder to get a higher engagment point and try it again. It only takes a few minutes.

+1 on how you adjust it because i HATE the engagement point on my Exedy stage 1 clutch. it's too high. i need it lower. everybody i've asked said that there's no way to adjust the engagement point, only the pedal. thanks

well i justed the peddal and now it goes in to gears just fine but now when i put it in first or second and try 2 start driving the hole front end starts hopping...i'm funking scared lol i have no clue what taht is...everything in the bottom is nice and tight...please any1 have any clue on whats going on?

Sounds like your clutch isnt engaging properly. Is the car jumping when you are letting out on the clutch pedal and then stops once engaged?

well i checked underneath and the rear mont that connects to the bottom of the frame and the tranny didn't have 2 bolt taht connects them both...would taht couse the vibration?

u riding clutch or come off the clutch too fast. i used to get the same trouble when i just got it, now i am just fine i can even pull off in 3rd (not easy!) lol...

u drive a lot in traffic right?

its not my car..i'm just doing a clutch job.....but i tried 2 burn the clutch a lil so it goes and the viration isn't there but the smell of burn new clutch is... the rear mount no on all the way wouldn't make that happen?
