oh yeah another thing...when i drive it in reverse it doesnt do that..it drives fine

the car doesn't shake when the 4wheels are in teh air..so does that mean it has 2 do w/ something in the suspension?

This tells a lot. Chatter is basically the engine rocking back and forth in the mounts as the clutch is engaging. There are a few different causes, all related to clutch or engine mounts. If the chatter is clutch related it wouldn't matter if you are going forward or reverse. On the other hand, if it is related to mounts, it would act totally different depending on what direction you are going, just as you indicated.

well i found out that the mount that is connected 2 the back of the tranny i didn't put the bottom bolt on so the motor rocks back in forth...so i'm ganna try 2 do that now and then i'll post up if it worked..thanx again

ok well i just test drove the car again and it still kinda does it but not as bad..but only of i try 2 take off fast

Adjusting the pedal does adjust the engagement point. If you increase the rod length it lowers the engagement point and pulls the clutch farther away from the flywheel.

well is there a way to adjust the engagement point of the clutch without adjusting the pedal, like a bolt on the master cylinder as some have said? also, when you do adjust the pedal to get a lower engagement point you adjust the pedal closer to the driver, or farther away?
