Help! New clutch in and there is a loud click noise

I got my car back from the dealer and they fixed the 5th gear grinding issue and while they had the tranny out they offered to install a clutch for me for $85.00, so I was stoked and got an ACT clutch overnighted. After is it was all put back together I picked up thew car, right away I noticed this loud CLICK, it sounded like it was under the seat. I thought something was rolling around down there. At home I realized there was nothing there. This click happens when I launch a little hard in first and I noticed it going into reverse. I called the dealer and he didn't know what it was and I had to bring it by. But the dealer is so far away and I started a new job, so I haven't been able to drop it off yet.

Any ideas guys? I know I haven't offered alot of info, but there isn't much to tell. It just sounds like a loud click, or small bang and I can feel a little vibration through the floor. It happend once in second gear and it also happend when I downshifted into 1st from 2nd and let it rev high. It is definately something with the clutch, since it only happens with the clutch engaged and under some RPM's...

Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

my car began doing this and it ended up being the shop that did the clutch install installed the what they call a "quill shaft" in backwards and they are trying to charge me for them messing up. Turned out they put a clutch in my car and werent even certified to work on mitsubishi awd drivelines.... this is going to court the bastards!

V8KILLER,

I called and left you a VM. Call me when you get a chance, i wanted to have you bring the car over. So we can lift it up and look uder it to see if we can pinpoint where the noise is coming from.

Luis

See if your rear motor mount bolt is in...When my clutch was done, it was left out...Drove all the way to Texas before i noticed a sound, but there was definitely no bolt in there...I could have died, or worse, hurt the car

wish I knew where thaqt bolt was, I'm kind of a mechanic retard... Where is this bolt?

The loud clicking has stopped now, I haven't heard it at all even during hard launches... I don't know if this is good or bad? I haven't noticed anything else wrong.

the clutch is great! Takes some getting used to, i stalled it for the first time! But now that I am past the break in period the clutch is awesome. No slipping under heavy load and still very streetable, just a little more pedal pressure than stock! I did not replace the flywheel, but I did have it resurfaced. I highly recommend this clutch.

Just that damn clicking noise that was there, it's gone but it still worries me...

Thanks. I hope no major issues also. HOw much did it cost to resurface? I'm thinking about ACT as well not but sure whether to get the lighten flywheel ir just resurface. If cost of resurface is about the same as a new flywheel minuse well go with the new one.

What clutch did you get? I'm having the 6 puck from ACT installed along with the pressure plate and a new STOCK flywheel. I don't get the car back 'till monday, but I know about the 500 mile break in period on the new clutch.
Previously I had just the ACT 6 puck with the stock pressure plate and stock flywheel. I heard some rattling along with a cricket type noise. Then the cricket noise grew into a frog like noise. It was probably because my flywheel and pressure plate were warped from racing so much. But it did hold very well. Until now, I had a whinning noise and it slipped all the time, I couldn't get the car to move until about 3-4k RPMs. I hope I don't have the same trouble now that I have all new parts put in.

P.S always wait about 500 miles before any hard launches on a new cluch, you gots to baby it a bit.
