Question Click-clack noise: please HELP

I recently bought a mildly modified Evo 8 from a dealer. I had a good deal on the car because the car needed a new clutch. I haven't changed the clutch yet. However, I am having hard time diagnosing a different problem on the car and I am not sure if it is related to clutch or something else. I changed the TC and rear diff oil with Diaqueen lsd gear oil and transmission oil with the Redline coctail hoping that it would help but not much has been improved. Gentlemen, I need your help please. I hear a kind of noise which is hard to describe click-clack grinding sound while making a sharp right or left turn from a stop. In addition to that I also feel the grinding sensation on the steering wheel and clutch pedal. The sound and sensation disappear when I straighten the steering wheel. Moreover, I also feel the grinding on the steering wheel while taking a fast turn only as I apply the gas pedal; it doesn't occur on neutral.

Thank You for your input.

I checked all of the above you mentioned and they are all in good condition. By the way, I forgot to mention that The symptom only happens If I drive the car for a certain period of time, It doesn't occur if I experiment the car right after it is warmed up for example in the morning. It is somewhat related to warming up of the drivetrain.

The car has a racing clutch which feels very heavy, I checked it has a yellow color pressure plate. Yes the clutch chatters sometimes especially if I stop and drive the car on uphill road. On the other hand, the clutch disk never feels slipping after it has been engaged even if i floor the gas pedal.

Click clack

Jack up the car, and look under the tranny there is a rubber plug on it. Pull the plug off and shine a light in there, you will see what type of clutch is in there, if you are lucky you might have a exedy twin disk.

The car has over 100k miles. I don't have the info when the clutch has been installed though. I hope is related to TOB, thanks

Clutch doesn't explain why he only gets the noise on sharp turns. Sounds more like a CV joint for sure, like mentioned above. Even if an inboard or outboard joint boot isnt torn, and all the grease is inside, the joint can still fail. Just looking at them externally wont tell you much unless a boot is torn, even then it doesn't mean it has failed. I know, its a pain to diag. Just my 2 cents, I'd lean more towards that area, especially if it comes and goes with body roll and weight/load shift. Good luck.

Would it be because of an aftermarket LSD? or worn-out LSD?

Could be that the OP might have air in the power steering system. Take it to a trusted mechanic and tell him to bleed the power steering.

Still can't see it being a power steering noise. Typically they are more of a whine. While it could cause notchy steering feel, I just don't think it would cause this clickity clack sound he is describing. OP, like I said before, lean more towards your cv joints. It would be really helpful to use "known good" axles from another EVO. If not, try and see if while you make the noise happen, if someone can stand outside the car and listen to see if they can isolate the side. Or if you have access to Chassis Ears, they are an invaluable tool to isolating a noise like this.
