Unhappy Tranny problems after rebuild!! Help!!!

So I got my tranny rebuilt by JNZ tuning....but..

UPDATE

SO I took my tranny to a local shop Tuning Technologies, they are very reputable and broke open the tranny for me to diagnose my problems with it. Tuning Tech had to replace 4th speed input shaft gear, the 4th gear output shaft gear because they were pretty much destroyed! I cant believe JNZ tuning didnt see this? Or maybe they didnt care to fix it?

Tuning Tech putit back together and 4th gear popped out of gear even with minimal acceleration. So they had to break it open again and reccomended to send it to Shepperd Transmissions. I got a call from Alfred and he said that they have to replace The input Shaft that was missing. The final gear and Shaft have to be relpaced, the outut shaft has to be replaced, Thrid and Fourth gear Hub has to be replaced, First gear colllar and sleeve has to be replaced, Fifth gear has to be replaced and an evo 8 third gear has to be put in because I opted to put a evo 8 fourth gear. Shepperd said that the Revs would be all screwy if I didnt replace the thrid gear??? What should I do? Should JNZ tuning be held responsible for overlooking all these things in the first place? or should I spend $1500 more on top of tuning technologies bill and the original $1500 I spent on getting my "Transmission Rebuilt" by JNZ tuning

Story is below...

I am having big problems with my tranny or its at least tranny related.
I put the tranny on the car and put a stock pressure plate with a competition clutch 6 puck.

First problem is I dont have a 5th or reverse gear, I try to shift to 5th or reverse but the shifter doesnt go into any of the two gears.

Second problem is 1st thru 4th gear are really notchy and I have to force them in, also there is a lot of side to side play when in gear.

I tried to see if it was a shift linkage problem but I didnt seem to find any obstructions. Maybe I put it in wrong?
Also I adjusted the clutch pedal to different lengths but still no 5th gear or reverse.

I also noticed my car wont roll back, I have a steep driveway and It usually rolls back but the car stayed in my driveway in nuetral and without the parking brake on.

I drove the car down my street and the car makes a loud noise, the car shakes and feels like its going to turn off when the car is decellarating.

I would apreciate some help I have called JNZ tuning but their tranny guy isnt there right now, so Im looking for other opinions on this.

you could have possibly, put your input shaft in backwards, (between the 2 axles.) shift linkage would be the first thing i would double check. possibly a bent cable. does the car drive? if so dis-regaurd the backwards input shaft.

dumb question but have you checked to see if there is fluid in it?

it sounds like a bent shift fork but after a rebuild there is no reason that should be the issue.

OT- but why did you have JNZ build your tranny???

The car drives fine other than the noise and shaking,

The shift linkage is correctly done I double checked with my friend who lives down the street and compared the two.

As for a bent cable?? I dont exactly know what bent cable you are referring to.

And yes my dad also said it is most likely a shift fork they did not put on correctly.

I went with JNZ because they have been working on DSM for a while and I thought they would have done a good job but I guess not, the worst thing is they arent good with answering there phone.

I dont know any of their names... and its the weekend so I dont think there on here anyways. I called them on friday they told me to call back at 4pm and I did but nobody answered the phone. It seems like theres only 1 person there who knows about transmissions. I am going to call them again on monday.

Sucks dude, I would definitely pursue them, and probably start talking to a lawyer, cause you're dealing with big sums of money.

So the OP is trying to say that since May of 08 he hasn't been able to get a hold of anyone at JNZ? I find that hard to believe when I've ordered parts from them on several occasions this year.

If no one answers I usually leave a message and get a return call shortly thereafter. FWIW I've done business with Josh (the owner of JNZ) for the last 10 years dating from the days when he worked at Conicelli Mitsubishi. If you want to PM him his screen name is DSSA or you can search JNZ on here.

NO imm not saying i cant get a hold of them even though they dont answer their phones half the time.

What im saying is they did a shoty job fixing my tranny and it still has a lot of problems.
and they should either pay to repair it or fix it themselves.

Okay so other than informing the rest of us of the situation, how is your post and you subsequently bumping this thread here going to help you get the problem resolved? The only person that that can attempt to rectify your problem would be JNZ.
