I was told AMS used to run the Magnus before they put out their VSR.

All of this "who is running what" really does not say much. A back to back test would be nice. But testing is rare sadly among tuners which baffles me. If you have a great product, do a back to back test and prove it.

This is correct, the old intakes had a weak weld that has been recognized and corrected by the Magnus team.

The new Magnus intakes are rock solid and are very much worth it even on a stock turbo. I noticed a difference immediately and the cost was fair as well. I've been running and old version of the intake for a couple years with no problems at all, making between 26039 psi.

How could we run a VSR intake prior to even making one?? LOL

AMS used and tested all the intake manifolds out there before designing, testing, and offering the VSR.

Bottom line, the VSR works. It does exactly what it was designed to do. And lets not forget the quality of the manifold and its fabrication. There is a reason you dont hear about the VRS bursting at the seams.

Not to add to the fire, what about the full-race manifolds. I was also wondering about this very topic you cant leave them out of the race.

I would not class the AMS VSR as being too exspensive when you compare it to the likes of the hks kansai or the jun one.
I myself went for the hks kansai as I was told it made 15bhp more than a ams vsr.

What does this comment mean exactly? Not to Take away from anyone accomplishments, as John Shepherd and Martin are both close personal friends of mine, and have done amazing work.

Magnus is a small company who have been delivering performance parts to the industry for over 11 years. We focus on hardcore performance and racing.
We prefer to rest upon our laurels. I let the racers market our products. I will show you what we at Magnus and the racers have done, whom we are proud to help out at any opportunity we can.

All these of these great racers choose to use Magnus engineered products on their cars.

Brent Rau, 6.86 @ 199mph Worlds fastest Mitubishi, worlds fastest 4 cyl Doorslamer, XBOX NDRA champion, Current NHRA record holder Fastest ET and MPH in modified. 1400hp est. Highest hp 4G63 in the world

Paul Neilson 924hp EVO 8, 9.6 @153mph
Magnus Standard street intake manifold still making power on the original 8 year old design! Way to go Paul!

Lastly my personal toy, runs 8.73 and has run a best mph of 170 @ only 38 psi of boost, running a dual rail SPL RACE intake manifold

Thats just a snippet of the list of 6,8 and 9 second racers.

All of these guys have relayed their experiences in racing back to us, which has helped us further our designs.

I feel like I'm writing an oscar speech. But i stress that all these racers with track proven results have made us what we are.

Thanks boys!

Good point!! I still remember when you took a band saw and cut a 7 bolt in half to try to figure out some crankwalk issues. Magnus is among the best and the results speak for themselves.
