Ticking On Deceleration!!!

Alright guys I can really use some help here.I'm going to try to word it as good as possible! I have a built 05 evo8(bottom end, buschar racing stage3 head etc. etc.272 cams and a lil nitrous NEVER SPRAYED YET) I started to hear a slight tick over the head and figured a lifter was starting to dump! So I ordered JAM Lifters and in the week it took for them to get in, like a dummy i was driving the car and ticking started to get worse. Finally lifters come in, install them, and still a loud tick on deceleration and dies out at idle but still I can hear a little bit at idle. It sounds like its coming from the head but with a pair of stethoscopes you can hear a noise from almost anywhere, i put them on the( BLOCK, TRANNY, HEAD A LITTLE BIT, INTAKE MANIFOLD) I really just wanna know if anyone has had this problem before, and i can go straight to the problem and fix instead of taking the whole motor apart (which i think i'm gonna have to do anyways )

Sorry if it was a long post, but i can really use some help! Much appreciated

Could be the injectors. I would see if you cant rule those out. Take a couple hours this weekend. Swap out the injectors Have had it happen before

Hey im not an expert but i would also suggest the injectors. if for some reason there is something wrong with one of your injectors, your engine may be running lean. Sometimes if your engine runs to lean it causes the piston to expand and scratch against the cylinder wall, and that may be your ticking. The same thing happened to by brothers dirt bike, but thats a completely different engine type and situation. but just my theory.

good luck with the problem, i hope everything works out for the best.

Well its not the injectors , it sounds more of a deep loud ticking noise coming from the front of the head(Exhaust manifold side). Im just going to take it to the shop to get it checked out thanks for the help guys!!!
