What to do if any before tune?

I have a IX MR w/3"dp,tp,catback, intake on and MBC and Walbro ready to put on. Is there any one part also to do before a tune or just stay with what I have for now. I am just not sure about ic pipes etc if they really give you that much of a difference. I will get cams in a couple months and have to retune but for now this is what I have unless there is enough proof that one other part will say persuade me to buy it before the tune.

A great mod would be a meth kit. Also I am planning on running an ets 3.5 in FMIC kit to go along with it. Also you can add an 02 housing and ported manifold.

Make sure you do not have any boost leaks.
Good fuel in the tank.
Plugs not misfiring.

^^ Double what he said. I am getting tuned on Thu and did a boost leak test and found a small tear in a vacuum line and found a T fitting that was leaking. Never would of thought of those leaks. Take new pluigs with you just in case.

^What he said and....

do an oil change (unless recently changed), check your air filter (clean and/or replace if needed) and check all fluids.

What about Nisei u/l ic pipes. That would be cool to some u/l ic pipes w/ a flange for an forge rs bov.

If you're getting a pump gas tune, then the stock IX DV will hold fine. Get the lower IC pipe and a Buschur coated O2 housing as well.

Sure why not. If you have more money to spend.
But numerous 9's are in the 11's and easy low 12's with the mods you already have.
I'd prob. save up for a meth/alchy kit, cams or a clutch.
Your $$ your choice I guess.

Went ahead and ordered the Buschur licp, and O2 housing. We'll see what a catless tbe, apexi intake, licp, O2 housing, mbc, walbro can get my IX post tune. Any guesses?

get an aftermarket intake pipe by aem, hks, buschur to go with the apexi filter. that's what I did and I felt a difference in throttle and cool turbo spool sound. u should hit 340-350whp with that setup post tuned.

The BEST thing you can do before a tune is to tune the car up. Fresh oil, Fresh Plugs, Boost leak test, Check for exhaust leaks, etc etc etc
