evo mod ?

I have a TB Evo Ix with roughly 3200 miles... it is a dd and has never been launched... my question is with a basic tune and no other mods would i experience any issues with the clutch... i have searched and some members have made mention that their clutch did not like the increase in hp/tq from their tune. i am not sure if other mods were present or not... so if anyone with a stock evo for the exception of a tune could provide some assistance

thanks,

chris

No, that doesn't make sense.

Getting a tune will not destroy your clutch. Sure you will have more power, but as long as you dont launch it, you will have no problem with the clutch.

Obviously as power increases it becomes more difficult for the clutch to hold the power, but for daily driving with stock + a tune, you will be fine.

This question is impossible to answer. Different driving styles effect the clutch differently. I've known of people blowing their clutch on their stock Evo within 1500 miles. As long as you don't launch every day, you should see decent clutch life. I've been riding my 2003 modded practically since the day I got it, and I'm still on the stock clutch with NO slippage at 33,000 miles. This is my daily driver. I don't have as many mods as others do, but I'm plenty fast (for now) and I've done a handful of launches. You don't have to drive like an old man, just be smart and take care of her. I don't think you'll see a problem with a simple flash as a daily driver.
