Has anyone tried this blow off valve???

Turbo XS Type H-RFL. Sounds like it is nice and LOUD! like I'm looking for. But since it is VTA, I may need some type of idle adjustment -- S-AFC, HKS S-AFR, etc). Please advise you have trie this BOV and how it performs ... thanks.

I believe that's the BoV that zlancer is running in his Lancer. If you can trick the ECU you should be fine. Give e-manage a look see. I know it's more precise and capable than S-AFC, but I'm not sure about how it compares to HKS's S-AFR.

I have the turbo xs rfl, and i dont have any, computer mods and it makes the rpm's drop down after a few times of revving it up but sounds very nice, and yes its pretty loud.

yeah thats the valve i have. its pretty damn loud and vents a lot of air rather quickly. as with any atmospheric bov running with a MAS it makes your car run rich for a second or two....even with an AFC. just gotta tap the gas a little bit when the idle drops down. i'm used to that already. and it stalls out sometimes. but i love the sound lol.

Does it make it stall out sometimes though? How about driiving at low rpms? Does it drop to a lower rpm than stock if you say ....... shift early just under 3000rpm?

e-manage is nice but I could never figure out how to tune that dam thing on my own. There is only one awd dyno in my area and I haven't been able to find anyone that is familiar with the e-manage.

in my humble and maybe uneducated opinion... i think the emanage is just an amped up version of the S-afc...

if you arent doing too much i guess it's okay.

I gotta admit though, the E-01 for the Emanage is pretty pimp looking

The e-manage lets you do fuel and timing (if you get the timing harness). I bet you could find a non local tuner to give you the settings they have used on a similar car to use as a baseline.

Course it may cost you a few bucks for them to give you the numbers.

Or you could go with an xede or a reflash for a little more money.

You cannot trick a MAF system you need a standalone to vent into the atmosphere, thta is the only way, otherwise you **** up your car.
