Did I read correctly that this has 2 mufflers? Gotta be a joke right?

 

Trent's car is modified past a stage 4 car. He has a built block like Dave stated ealier in the post.

David, could you explain a little bit more. Because I am totally blown away, along with alot of people here. How can trent run 30psi with no alchy or meth and manage not to blow anything up. Could you please explain a little bit more, this is very interesting to me.

 

How much gas did it take to get to the track? Those times/speeds with a nearly full tank of fuel is crazy performance.

No I am not I am just curious as these sorts of things are really those of miracles for most tuners.

I know dave is a good tuner, very well renowned and has fast cars, reliable cars, and lots of them, but 30 psi on 93 octane should surprise everybody.

I was not well aware of the stage sequence.

Also, how long can you run 30psi on a daily driver with a built engine before the engine needs to be re-built. I we talking a couple of years here or less?

 

I just asked Trent, he said 93 was over $3 per gallon yesterday, he was on empty and put $25 in the car. Thinks he had about a 1/2 tank when he got to the track. I figured he filled it up.

No, every car we have with Stage 4 cannot run 30 psi on 93 octane. There is no magic. This car has much more than Stage 4, big cams, ported head, built shortblock and a big turbo, all those things help to run 30 psi pretty easily. To be dead honest, Trent's combination could run more boost than it is, I wouldn't be surprised to see 35 psi without much trouble.

I don't know how long the engine will run like this, being as the engine is built and the knock counts are extremely low I'd say it will run a very very long time.

Keep in mind, this car travels 122 miles per day round trip just going back and forth to work.

 

It's amazing that you can get away with no detonation. No other shop is doing this, not even comming close. Can you make these numbers on an Evo IX?

 

cause i dont have AEM, built block or a stage 3 head.
