if i here 122 round trip one more time..........

if someone is just cruising along that doesnt matter... i wanna see him rallying back and forth everyday for 122 miles....

I know you build good motors, dont get me wrong... but cruising isn't impressive, hes not hitting 30pounds of boost the whole trip....

Cheers!

Sure it counts. It shows that his 9 second capable car really is a daily driver and is reliable. That long of distance also means he probably has to get diffrent brands of gas. You don't know how he drives it or how many times he gets into it. How many of these 600WHP+ dyno queens do we see with trap times and are daily driven? Not very many. David has already stated that he's not giving all of he's tuning techniques on how he tunes the built cars on pump without detonation.

The 122 miles round trip is a very important piece of information, sorry you don't see it as such. Trent runs the car like this EVERY SINGLE day. He does NOT turn the boost down. When he punches it at any time, he has 30 psi of boost. You don't find that important? He is at the track with the car, realistically, once every 2 weeks. The car has been run on C16 and ran 10.1 at 142 mph. It has all sound deadening, two mufflers to keep it quiet, full interior, air bags, door beams etc. It is a REAL street car that is actually driven a LOT of miles. It was finished this spring and has broken one part, the center diff, it was the original with probably 200 passes on it and some road racing/autocross.

BTW, yes, I am sure I can make these numbers on an EVO9, it will just take the same build the right camshafts.

David when we had cut my gas tank in half we noticed even tho our gauge reads empty that there was 2 gallons of gas give or take in the passenger side of the tank.
I'm wondering if some of the c-16 could still be in there mixing with the 93 octane.

Do you consider that 9 second capable if more weight was lost, or if more tweaking was done? (Not that I know much about tweaking, but I could hear possibilities going both ways)

That's damn impressive on pump though. gj.

very impressive indeed, almost too impressive to believe.
Was there any alky used to help with that 30psi?

No chance of any C16 being in the tank. Last time Trent ran the car was 2 weeks ago. Since them he has driven 122 miles per day (there is is again, haha) and has only been running 93 since then. Not to hard to figure out it is all gone by now.

Wouldn't matter if there was some in there. This car has been consistantly running 134-135 traps, the tune and boost are not changed. Running C16 on a pump gas tune would make the car slower, unless of course your particular pump gas tune was knocking like mad, which in this case it is not.

NO ALKY USED, not even a kit on the car.

I missed one, the 9 second capable. It just needs to hook up to run 9's. The 10.1 at 142 that it already ran was on Yokahama Neova's, put a set of drag radials on it and the car would run 9.80's.

Trents car is pretty damn impressive! I got to go for a ride with 3 people in the car and couldn't move when the gas was mashed ha!

Congrats Trent! Once my center diff is fixed and tranny rebuilt we need to get a track night together.

David - Sent you a email tonight regarding my center diff and tranny.

If you seen the way i drive, you would think i am trying out for le mans. When we built my car Dave flat out told me to beat this car to death, he wanted me to drive it everyday, and abuse it. Road race it, drag race it, autocross it, Has seen the berm on many occasions not sure if that qualifys as rally but dam close. If there was a dirt drag race in the state of ohio, i would be the first to attend,The car is seeing 8500 rpm at shifts and 9400 throught the traps. i aint scared. I have all the confidence in the world in the motor .I have over 8500 miles on everything now and by years end i should be around 12,000. and all that with a 9 sec time slip.....(i hope)
